Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

Hebrews 10:23

About Us

English Fellowship of Guadalajara (EFG) was founded in January 2009 as a mission and ministry of Rey de Reyes Presbyterian Church to the English-speaking community of Guadalajara. Over the years, our diverse congregation has included students, businessmen, diplomats, expats, and families who have made Guadalajara their home.

Rey de Reyes was founded by Pastor Kenton Wood who continues to oversee the ministry of EFG and other missions and ministries of Rey de Reyes in Guadalajara and throughout Mexico.

Several local pastors and missionaries have served at EFG over the years, each ministering to the diverse members of the EFG family with their teaching, leadership and unique gifts. Presently we have a number of gifted teachers, preachers and worship leaders who are serving the EFG community.

In 2018, EFG has experienced a renewed vision and focus to reach English speakers with the Gospel and make disciples here in Guadalajara for the Kingdom of Christ.

Diversity

"There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus…
in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts according to the grace given to each of us."
Galatians 3:28, Rom 12:5

Devotion

"Live in a right way in undivided devotion to the Lord… As you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in Him, rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and over-flowing with thankfulness...
Be devoted to one another in love."
I Cor. 7:35, Col. 2:6-7, Rom 12:10

Discipleship

“Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
and teaching them to obey everything I
have commanded you…
By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
Matthew 28:19-20, John 13:35
