Doctors from both Mexico and the United States assist us in serving the undeserved both in Guadalajara and beyond.  Some of our clinics have been in partnership with Guimedic, a local organization dedicated to serving the needy in Mexico.

Medical students are given hands-on opportunities with patients, working side-by-side with doctors.  Through our bi-annual brigades to the neighboring state of Michoacan, we have given medical care to hundreds of people and are also now in the process of installing a dental chair there. If you are a doctor, dentist, or student of either profession, you are welcome to join us and help serve.

We sponsor bi-annual medical conferences usually held in the teaching center of San Javier Hospital.  Medical lectures are usually offered by visiting doctors from the United States.  In partnership with CMDA (Christian Medical and Dental Association), we also give regular classes teaching values and ethics to medical students.

Below is an archive of visiting doctors’ lectures:

Dr. Rod Dynes, MD, “What’s in Your Hand? God’s Plan for the Healthcare Professional,” August 22, 2013.

Dr. John Mulder, MD, with Dr. Glenn E. Merz, MD, “The Anatomy of Hope–Particularly in the Context of Palliative Medicine,” February 20, 2014.
